Criteria for the annual society shield nomination is divided into three main parts:
1. Community Service and Health Volunteering
* Definition: Serving the community, work on health volunteering, improving its services, and reach the largest part of society.
* Requirements:
* Submit volunteering hours obtained from health volunteering, King Salman Humanitarian Aid, or other sources.
* Or submit certificates of participation in events or campaigns.
2. Continuing medical education
* Definition: Create programs that improve the level of medical education, provide specialized medical services, and to benefit the community.
* Such as lectures, workshops, courses, health field visits.
* Requirements:
* Attach photos that prove these activities, like certificates to prove your role as an organizer.
3. Adding and developing Ophthalmology
* Definition: The nominated doctor starts training programs and develops ophthalmology departments in the areas where they work or internationally.
* Requirements:
* Submit a certificate or recommendation letter from the workplace.
* Attach proof of deducting times for clinics, or surgeries.
* It is important to attach a certificate from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
